Staying Sane and Staying at Home Part 1

Staying Sane and Staying at Home Part 1

Well, in New Orleans we are two weeks into a stay at home mandate and we are all doing our best to stay put with essential trips for supplies and exercise.  If you are like me, you are doing it all:  cooking, cleaning, working from home, home schooling and many other things.  I am staying positive because I am grateful to have a roof over my head, food on the table and children that are healthy and safe. Lately, I have also been engaging in a little online retail therapy.

Thanks to everyone who has supported Sotre from a distance and I hope you are happy with your deliveries!

I start every morning in the shower - and sometimes head there in the afternoons.  It has become my REFUGE!  I cannot live without my Doterra Shower scrub and gel:

The scrub is infused with wild Orange, grapefruit, and ginger essential oils that gently exfoliates and polishes the skin and the gel's bergamot, grapefruit and cedarwood essential oils are refreshing and uplifting, making it an ideal body wash to start the day. Natural surfactants derived from coconut oil and essential fatty acids provide gentle yet thorough cleansing without irritating the skin like other harsh soaps and body washes.

Of course, love my new shower cap - it just makes me happy....:

I love these Matouk turkish towels - the blend of cotton and bamboo silk makes them super absorbent and soft.

And there are robes to match - more lounge wear....I LOVE this pool color:

It seems PJS/Loungewear is the new chic.  My customers are even wearing their PJs to conference calls:

In the bedroom, I sleep with Matouk's 100% linen stone washed sheets that just seem to get softer to more I wash them and they really help to regulate body temperature.

I pair this with my Hamburg House custom coverlet and shams and a linen quilted coverlet from Dea Italy instead of a duvet.  I am really appreciative of my John Robshaw king euros which help support my back while I work:

.....and I recently added these fun elephant pillows for a little whimsy:

I ADORE these little flower frogs from the Floral Society!  It is so easy to make an arrangement in them and their beauty brings me great joy!

Finally, I need fragrance and essential oils to help me stay calm and upbeat.  I light my Voyage et Cie candle in my living room every morning and let it burn until I am ready for bed.

I have a diffuser in almost every room and I use my essential oils to disperse aromatherapy throughout the house.  I find they help with serenity, mood and focus.  In my bedroom, I diffuse Serenity and sometimes Breathe.

Stay safe, healthy, don't forget to breathe and remember, it is just a temporary new normal.  Thanks again for supporting us!
